Asgard Legends Prototype: Dropped

The files are split into two files. One has only the exe. The other has all extra files, graphics and so forth. This way when an update comes out you will only have to download the actual executable (not like I need to save bandwidth).

Please note that this current version which was built from Dark Basic Pro software has been dropped. A new version is in the making. To get the demo working just extract the resource file anywhere on your computer and then save the executeable in the main folder where you see such files as Configuration.cfg or items.exe.

Instructions

The player is controlled by the arrow keys or the directional buttons on any joystick/gamepad. As of right now the buttons used are A,S,Z,X and the game uses a left and right trigger buttons but they are not available on the keyboard version of the controls (sorry about that, just couldn't decide) and these keys are not changeable right now but they will be soon.

The configuration file in the main folder contains the button configuration for a joystick/gamepad. To find out the number each button on your device open the game controllers window from the control panel. Go to the properties of the device you wish to use. Go to the test and it will display the button number when you press the desired button. In the configurations file the numbers are used in this order (preset for a snes gamepad using the superjoy adapter):

Controls:
Y (a): Run (in towns)
B (z): Back/Cancel
A (x): Action/Talk/Accept;
X (s): Menu;
SELECT: n/a
START: Pause;
Left Shoulder: Previous Tab
Right Shoulder: Next Tab

In the menu you will only be able to go to the item menu, going to any other menu will just display a black screen and you can get back to the main menu by hitting back (It will eventually crash if you try hitting the action button too many times on in an unprogrammed menu.
